Hope Community Church is partnering with WIHN for our third year. WIHN is the only program in the community that allows homeless families to stay together, while they assist them in finding employment and permanent housing.
WIHN families will be staying at Hope from July 6 - July 20. We are looking for folks who are willing to assist to help our WIHN families feel welcome and comfortable during their stay. There are opportunities for assistance in:
- Meal Planning
- Social Hosting
- Overnight Hosting
- Transportation
- Set up / Break down
HCC will convert the upstairs classrooms into individual family rooms to be used by our guest during their stay. WIHN guest are with us in the evening for dinner and overnight for two weeks. They return to the WIHN Day Center in the early morning.
To make our WIHN families comfortable we need a lot of help from individuals, families and small groups to prepare meals, visit with families in the evenings, stay overnight, assist with transportation using the WIHN 15 passenger van, and to assist with setting up and breaking down living and eating areas.
To volunteer and/or for more information on ways to serve our WIHN families, email Christine Asfoury or call 363.9502.
